Online payments
What a customer payment costs you.
Payments run through Stripe. JobSigner adds a 0.5% platform fee to card payments and 0.5% to bank payments, capped at $10. Your business pays these from the payment; they’re never added to your customer’s invoice.
Online invoice payment fees also apply during your trial or a discounted subscription.
Stripe amounts use its published standard U.S. rates (2.9% + 30¢ for cards, 0.8% capped at $5 for ACH) and can differ for some cards and accounts. Cash, checks, and other payments you record yourself have no JobSigner fee. Online payments are available once your business completes Stripe activation.

How does the free trial work?
Create your account and name your business. Your 14-day trial starts right away on Starter, with no card needed. Add a card any time in Subscription settings and choose a monthly or annual plan; it then bills automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel first. If you don’t add a card, the trial just ends: nothing is charged, and your records stay saved. A business gets one trial; creating another workspace does not restart it.
What counts as a user?
Anyone with their own JobSigner login: owners, office staff, and field staff. Your customers never need one, and worker records without a login don’t use a seat.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Upgrades take effect right away with a prorated charge. Downgrades apply at your next renewal.
How does canceling work?
Cancel through Subscription settings in the web app. If you’ve added a card, cancel before your trial ends to avoid its first subscription charge. Paid subscriptions stay active until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Unused time isn’t refunded automatically; if you were charged twice or incorrectly, email team@jobsigner.com and we’ll review it.
What happens if I hit my Assistant allowance?
Assistant and Business Advisor requests pause until the next month or until you move to a larger plan. There are no surprise overage charges, and the rest of JobSigner keeps working.
How do AI receptionist minutes work?
The AI receptionist is optional: it answers your business’s calls and takes messages. Team includes 250 minutes a month and Scale includes 600; unused minutes don’t carry over. Starter gets 30 free minutes once, then optional pay-as-you-go at 35¢ a minute, only if you turn on Extra minutes. Extra minutes are 35¢ each and off by default, so you’re only charged for them if you turn them on, and you can set a monthly budget for them (it’s $50 unless you change it). They’re available on monthly and annual plans; on annual plans they’re invoiced each month. While they’re off, the receptionist stops answering new calls when your minutes run out, and calls go to your fallback phone if you’ve set one. During your trial, receptionist use is capped at 60 minutes and isn’t charged, and those minutes count toward Starter’s free minutes.
Does the AI receptionist speak Spanish?
Yes. It speaks Spanish and 59 other languages, including Mandarin, Cantonese, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Arabic, French, and Korean. Calls start in English, and when a caller speaks another language, it switches to that language. You read the summary and transcript in English. A few languages, such as Haitian Creole and Somali, aren’t covered yet.
Are taxes included?
Prices are before any applicable sales tax.
Do my customers pay extra when they pay online?
No. Processing and platform fees are paid by your business from the payment. JobSigner never adds a surcharge to your customer’s invoice.
